About Flying Penguin Journeys

This is an amateur photography blog created to document my personal travels from over the years. There are no articles on equipment suggestions, travel tips, or product sponsorships. And since I truly am an amateur, not all photographs are of equal quality- sorry!

Please do not use my images without contacting me.

I love traveling! There are so many amazing places to see and people to meet. And it's such a great way to widen your perspective on life. Excited to see where I go next :)

Photography is a more recent hobby- mostly because it's such a great way to document trips. I am in no way particularly skilled. Photos featured here were taken on a variety of cameras.

History- I studied it in college, so you could say I'm a little bit of a nerd. I often seek out places or things of historical significance on trips. Bucket list- Hadrian's Wall!

An Oregonian. A nerd. An attempted artist. Mostly here to fulfill Pepe's wishes. What else to say... Inspiring quote: "Traveling- it leaves you speachless, then turns you into a storyteller". PC: Chrissy

The true genius running this enterprise. Hailing from the South Pole, he's got itchy feet and a photogenic profile. When he's double-booked, he sends a friend in his place.

History of the blog

I went on my first international trip after graduating high school. Over the years since then, I have had the opportunity to visit multiple different places. I wanted a way to document my trips, along with some of the best photographs I've take. And thus Flying Penguin Journeys was born!

While my earliest trips did not include any cuddly companions, Pepe (or one of his black-and-white friends) has accompanied me on many trips over the years. So keep an eye out for them as well!
